Was in Vegas for a work conference with my boss last year. Admittedly, whenever I’m there, I don’t mind going out and having a little fun. I figure, it’s Vegas! However, this trip provided just a little more fun than usual.
After some drinks and gambling, a bunch of us hit The Strip. My boss was becoming increasingly intoxicated as the night went on. At one point, we were on one side of The Strip and my boss wanted to go down to the other side. However, he didn’t want to walk. We couldn’t find a cab either.
I watched as my boss got increasingly irritated. Finally, he made a crazy decision. He paid $1,500 for a limo to drive us from one side of The Strip to the other. The best part of the whole thing is that he charged it to his corporate credit card. To be honest, I’m not sure he knew what he was doing.
We told him the next day and he looked terrified. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when he presented that expense report to his boss.
